Property Details and Spatial Concept

The entrance of this commercial facility, which connects directly to Hakata Station, was designed to evoke a patio-like atmosphere—encouraging natural foot traffic while offering moments of tranquility. The goal was to create an inviting, nature-infused transition that gently blends the boundary between the busy outdoor urban setting and the interior space of the building.

Interior Design Challenges

A key challenge was to soften the transition from outdoor to indoor and to establish continuity without abrupt changes in spatial tone or texture. The design needed to offer visual relief and natural ambiance in a setting that is frequently busy and fast-paced.

Our Proposal

INCROCCE proposed a greenery concept that emphasized a sense of serenity even for passersby. Suspended greenery was installed above the semi-outdoor walkway to create a lush canopy effect, while vertical plant panels were mounted on two wall sections. These installations were carefully arranged to provide visual comfort, drawing in pedestrians with a calming and natural flow as they entered the building.

Installation and Technical Execution

Overhead Installation｜Green elements were mounted along the railing structure above the passageway, offering a sense of depth and dimension from multiple viewpoints.
Wall Panels｜Original wall panels were adorned with layered greenery to create a natural gradient effect that added movement and softness to the vertical surfaces.
Planting Composition｜Stylish yet dynamic arrangements ensured that the greenery enhanced the overall architectural impact while maintaining a clean, contemporary aesthetic.
