Elevating the Tokyo Office Experience
Simple Yet Soothing Environmental Display for Workplace Comfort
|Kanden Realty & Development – Yaesu Office|
Meeting areas and staff rooms are key touch points in shaping both first impressions and daily workplace satisfaction. Yet, many offices fall short—characterized by nothing more than desks and chairs, they often lack identity, comfort, or memorability. At the Yaesu office of Kanden Realty & Development, INCROCCE was asked to bring warmth and expression to a well-composed yet minimal environment. With a focus on simple, non-intrusive display design, the goal was to foster creativity, communication, and relaxation across multiple office spaces.

Project Concept & Objectives
Located in Tokyo’s Yaesu district, the office interiors featured a calm, clean design base. Rather than disrupt this simplicity, the display concept aimed to gently uplift it—adding moments of visual delight and soft textures that made the space more welcoming. The objective was to offer just enough accent to stimulate relaxation and creativity without overwhelming the professional tone of the space.
Challenges in Spatial Design
While the base interiors were well-composed, they risked feeling sterile. Light visual accents were needed to humanize the space. Each room had a different function, requiring customized design direction. Above all, the displays had to remain understated—adding value without cluttering or distracting from work.
INCROCCE’s Design Approach
We assigned themes to each room based on its use. In meeting rooms, we incorporated hints of greenery and artful touches to inspire ideas and support open thinking. In staff lounges and break areas, softer objects and faux green elements were used to create an at-ease atmosphere. The kitchen space adopted a nature-inspired tone, with minimal displays featuring organic textures. Across all areas, the design focused on curating “lightness” through material selection and spatial balance.
Construction & Execution Details
Wall & Shelf Styling: Faux greenery, interior accessories, and small-scale upcycled objects were used
Visual Direction: Themes aligned with the space’s purpose—“relaxation,” “focus,” or “creative energy”
Design Balance: Display interventions were subtle, preserving the clean and structured feel of the existing interiors
Outcome & Feedback
The client reported that the display softened the tone of each room and received compliments from visitors. Staff also noted an improved sense of comfort and openness, with more spontaneous conversations emerging in common areas. The project led to interest in similar display updates at other Kanden office locations, expanding INCROCCE’s role as a trusted environmental display partner.
